HSS - Handgun Skills Simulator class:
Our Handgun Skills Simulator Class is intended for all levels of students looking to learn about or improve their handgun shooting skills.
This class begins with teaching the fundamentals of handguns, terminology, function, and general knowledge. Then the remainder of the class students get “hands-on” time with a handgun simulator, like the police use for training. This simulator uses a series of guns that emit a signal when fired that is recognized by a computer, camera, and video screen. It allows the student to learn new techniques like moving targets, target transition, and some “shoot or don’t shoot” targets in a classroom setting.
This course is about 4 hours long and is taught entirely in the classroom with no “live fire”. This class is a prerequisite to the Handgun Info & Familiarization class and is taught in the morning with that class taught in the afternoon. Any student taking both classes MUST take them the same day.
Students do not need to bring any guns or equipment. To ensure a lot of quality one on one time with an instructor, this class is limited to a maximum of 11 students.
**This Handgun Skills Simulator class is usually offered twice a month, year-round. It is usually taught starting at 8:30am-12:30pm and is followed by a 30 min lunch break for anyone attending the Buying & Handgun Familiarization class, on the same day (which starts after lunch at 1pm). It is entirely in the classroom. Because most students take this class in association with the Buying & Handgun Familiarization class taught in the afternoon, this class may be rescheduled during times of inclement weather.
