AID - First Aid for Self-Survival:

Let’s say you’ve been shot or stabbed, or someone else has been shot or stabbed, what do you do? Remember, it takes several minutes or more for help to get there, and during that time “you are on your own”. 

Our First Aid for Self-Survival class is intended for students that have little or no prior medical training and teaches them basic techniques to “stop the bleed”. 

This class does not train you to become an EMT or Paramedic, but will give you some basic knowledge and skills that may keep yourself, or someone else, alive until help arrives. This class teaches basic skills to treat penetrating trauma (like gunshot wounds and stabbings), including what items to have in a “first aid kit” and how to use them. 

This class is about 2 hours long and students are not required to bring any equipment to class. 

This class does NOT have a prerequisite, but it is strongly encouraged that students first take the Self-Defense Simulator class usually offered earlier that same day. 

**First Aid for Self-Survival class is usually offered twice a month, year-round. It is usually scheduled on the same day as the Self-Defense Simulator class and is offered after that class beginning at 3:30 and ends around 5:30pm. It is taught entirely inside the classroom; therefore, weather is not a factor.
